Q: Are the pearls natural or cultured?
A: Our pearls are cultured Akoya pearls, grown in the pristine coastal waters of Japan. Cultured pearls are real pearls — the only difference from natural pearls is that the process begins with careful human intervention. Each pearl takes 1–3 years to form inside the oyster.

Q: Why “Sumi”?
A: Sumi (澄) means “clarity” and “purity” in Japanese — the quality of water so clear you can see straight through to the bottom. Q: Can I wear my pearl jewelry in water?
A: We recommend removing your pearl jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercising. Prolonged exposure to water, chlorine, and salt can weaken the nacre and dull the pearl’s natural shine.

A: We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unworn items in original condition and packaging. Please contact us at support@okos.jp to initiate a return. Custom or personalized pieces are final sale.
